Come Here and Kiss Me by M. Robinson and Willow Winters

Come Here and Kiss MeCome Here and Kiss Me by M. Robinson and Willow Winters was a fast-paced and spicy love story that will captivate you from start to finish. These two authors have crafted a story full of angst, lies, secrets, betrayal, and more. While I did think that more time should have been spent on characterization or character building, I was content with how Ronan and Brooklyn's relationship turned out to be. Theirs was a rather complicated one considering that their families were rivals or enemies with each other. But nevertheless, love and desire still managed to sneak up on them regardless of their animosity and distrust in one another. I really enjoyed the spicy scenes and actually wanted more of it.
“I want you in ways I never thought were possible for a man like me. I want you in all the ways I should and all the ways I shouldn’t. I want you then, now, forever. It’s me and you, kitten.”
In the end, this book was a great start to a brand new world and story between M. Robinson and Willow Winters. Brooklyn and Ronan's relationship was quick and dirty with a bit of angst added into the mix. They were truly victims of their families, specifically their terrible fathers. I also liked that she wasn't actually his student but someone who went to the same university he worked at. It looks like Aspen, Brooklyn's best friend, will be getting her own book next. She didn't have much of a presence in this book and it felt like she judged Brooklyn for the explicit and illegal video that was sent to everyone without their consent. In any case, I recommend this book if you are looking for a "guilty pleasure" full of drama and spice with a fake marriage that becomes real.

Sealed With A Kiss by Willow Winters & Amelia Wilde

Sealed With A KissSealed With A Kiss by Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde packs an emotional punch and will leave readers satisfied with the angsty romance between Graham Maxwell and Madelyn Cunnigham. I never saw this writing duo coming and I completely devoured this book. Graham and Madelyn's story was a unique and refreshing take on the landlord/tenant with benefits and damsel in distress tropes. Graham was Madelyn's hero and knight in shining armor—even if it did take him a while to realize that. Their relationship was incredibly sexy, heartbreaking at times, but also forbidden because it wasn't considered normal by any standards. While I would have preferred more character development for Graham and Madelyn, I was still invested in them and their relationship. I also found Madelyn to be a relatable and endearing character because despite her bad situation, she was a hopeless romantic and had an optimistic outlook on life. Graham was intriguing, handsome, and mysterious, a combination that was deadly for Madelyn. Their first encounter with each other was electric—you could feel the tension and chemistry between them.
“I think I've loved you since the first moment I saw you, my little temptress.”
In the end, I enjoyed this steamy billionaire romance between two people who were always destined to be with each other. While their relationship started out unconventional, it didn't take long for it become more. There was also the taboo/forbidden aspect, which had the potential to be yikes but it just somehow worked for Maddie and Graham because they both wanted it and had been attracted to each other since the beginning. No cheating whatsoever, unless you count Maddie's ex-fiancé being the scumbag who cheated. Thankfully with him out of the way, Graham was more than happy to take his place. I really love their relationship, especially how angsty it got. This book also takes place in the world of Tell Me You Want Me, Suzette and Adrian's story, which really surprised me. Fans of Willow Winters and Amelia Wilde will love this book and I highly recommend Graham and Maddie's story to anyone who is looking for an angsty and sexy unique take on the strangers with benefits trope between a heroine who wears her heart on her sleeve and a workaholic hero who comes to the realization that he cannot live without her.

Meet Willow Winters:

I started writing after having my little girl, Evie, December of 2015. All during my pregnancy with her I read. I only wanted to read romance novels and I read everything I could get my hands on. I would read a book a day — sometimes two. In January I was staying up late with her and just thinking of all these stories. They came to me constantly. I finally sat down and just started writing. I always wanted to do it so I figured, why not? I never thought I would reach this point of success to be honest. It’s insane to me that I have connected with so many readers. And I love each and every one of them for all of their support. I’ll be honest, some days are HARD. I have my littles during the day and I write at night. Some days are just simply exhausting and then I hear from a reader and it motivates me to push through and keep writing. I couldn’t be more grateful for this wonderful career.

Under His Reign by Willow Winters

Under His ReignUnder His Reign is Willow Winters' latest release and although it featured an already established world and characters, it was rather easy to pick up and read as a standalone. I wished the author could have provided new readers with more context and/or background information to her world and characters because it started and ended abruptly. Nevertheless, I thought Dragos and Kara's story was engaging, emotional, and incredibly steamy. There were some unexpected and tearful moments between the two, which I appreciated. In his attempt to seduce Kara, Dragos intentionally withheld information from her and his intent—which had major consequences to their relationship and resulted in some heartbreaking moments. It was refreshing to see a dominant and possessive hero fumble and fail to appease his vulnerable heroine who wore her heart on her sleeve.
“She's the greatest treasure I've ever had. I won't let her go.”
In the end, Dragos and Kara's romance was passionate, all-consuming, and angsty. I enjoyed this book and am curious about what will happen next. The book does end abruptly, despite having an epilogue. The story began and ended with a character named "Alec," who we know is a sorcerer. He was in love with a woman named Isabella but she was unfortunately kidnapped by Galen. I was perplexed by this relationship because Galen already seemed possessive of Isabella even though she was in love with someone else and only had the potential to "heat" and carry dragonlings. In my opinion, Cyrus was a much more interesting character and level-headed compared to his two brothers. Considering their traumatic past and the fact that they were the only three dragons left in this world, Cyrus lived in the moment and didn't care about being mated. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking for a quick and steamy paranormal romance with a dominant hero who falls first for his independent and spitfire heroine.

Tell Me You Want Me by Willow Winters

Tell Me You Want MeTell Me You Want Me by Willow Winters is one of those stories that will be leave satisfied if you are looking for a quick read with a scorching hot romance between two characters who have a lot of chemistry with each other. Much of the tension and angst that drives the story revolves around Suzette's own securities with her job and relationship with the charismatic and driven Adrian. If you like the office romance trope then you won't be disappointed with this book because it certainly checked all of my boxes. Although I enjoyed this book, I was frustrated with Suzette at times because while she was portrayed as this strong and intelligent woman but her actions said otherwise.
"He feels dangerous, like he could crush me if he wanted. Yet I find myself wanting to be under his thumb, wondering what he'll do to me."
In comparison, Adrian was my favorite character because he was someone who defied expectations and forged his own path. If he wanted something or someone, he would do whatever it takes to possess it. I also loved how he was surprisingly romantic even though his and Suzette's relationship started off only physical at first. I am often more interested in the romance between two characters for these types of books and I thought Willow Winters did a great job developing it in such a short amount of time. Suzette and Adrian's relationship was rocky at first but as they continued to interact with each other more and more, love eventually blossomed between the two. We also got to witness the sexual chemistry between the two and it will definitely leave you breathless.
"She is my safety, my temple of solitude, my everything. At this moment, I'm far too aware of what she means to me."
In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Suzette and Adrian's story because it was incredibly sexy, fast-paced, romantic, and entertaining. Fans of Willow Winters and the office romance trope will absolutely devour this book because it certainly has her signature written all over it. Want dirty talk? You'll definitely get that with Adrian. I love that he's demanding but also understanding when it comes to Suzette's hesitation with their progressing relationship. I would love to see future books for Wyatt, Adrian's friend, because it looks like he's about to go through some hard times.

Dark Fairy Tales by Skye Warren and Various Authors

Dark Fairy TalesIf you're in the mood for a collection of fairy tale inspired love stories by your favorite dark romance authors, then this book is for you. I really enjoyed reading these short novellas and it had me itching to read some of the authors' own books. I especially loved Skye Warren's rendition of King Midas, Celia Aaron's Rumplestiltskin, Sierra Simone's version of The Princess and the Pea, and Willow Winters' Beauty and the Beast. They were incredibly sexy and scorching hot.
“I couldn’t have cared less what you called yourself, as long as you called yourself mine.”
- Sierra Simone, The Princess and the Pea
All of these stories have several things in common and it's that they're all set in the same universe, taking place in the same mansion and ball, and happening in the same night. It's really interesting and it potentially sets the stage for Jade West' upcoming book, Heartless in what the authors allude to as the world of Midnight Dynasty for one of the central characters in the family that is throwing the ball. At the center of all of this, there is a Romeo and Juliet plot going on between Morellis and the Constantines family.
It was the woman in gold. The woman owning the room without even trying. She was wearing a Venetian mask that covered so much of her face I could barely make out her features, but that didn't matter. I didn't need to see her face. The visible parts of her were enough to drive me wild.
- Jade West, Heartless
Each of the stories were unique and can be considered complete standalone to the authors' own books. I guess you could say this anthology would be a collection of short stories that is meant to draw and hook you into reading more from them. It certainly worked for me! They were romantic, heartbreaking at times, really sexy, and they're inspired by our favorite fairy tales. In the end, I am really happy that I read this because it reminded me why I loved some of these authors so much and that I should probably go back and read some of their books that I haven't already started yet.
