Make Me, Daddy by Sara Fields

Make Me, DaddyMake, Me Daddy by Sara Fields is an age-gap and forbidden romance between Cormac Murphy and Caitlin McCormick. This is a direct sequel to Take Me, Daddy—which features Kieran Murphy and Leah. I never expected a continuation of this world so I was pleasantly surprised to meet the kind Cormac, who is the second oldest brother in the family. The story begins with Caitlin, who recently graduated high school and unknowingly participated in a heist with her friends that could potentially throw her in jail for the rest of her life. Her actions had major consequences, which resulted in the death of her father. Cormac enters her life because of his close relationship with her parents and what results is a whirlwind romance where he treats Caitlin with a firm but gentle hand because she does NOT make it easy for him.
"Love and honor demanded two different things and I didn't know which one was right."
I was initially frustrated with Caitlin because she was so combative and angry at Cormac who has done nothing but be kind to her. Thankfully, he knew exactly what to do with her. I understood that Caitlin had to build walls around her heart because her father was a passive participant in her life after the death of his wife. Cormac and Caitlin are extremely attracted to each other and it didn't take long for their relationship to become even more personal. The love scenes were erotic, dirty, and intense. I loved seeing Cormac's internal struggles over his relationship with Caitlin because he was falling hard for her. Fans of Sara Fields will not want to miss out on this filthy, kinky, and romantic love story between a naughty little girl and her sweet but firm "daddy." I can't wait to meet the rest of the Murphy's!

When You Know by Jessa Kane

When You KnowJessa Kane returns with another steamy and age-gap romance featuring a morally gray and unhinged hero who will do anything to make himself the center of his woman's world and vice versa. Bobby is completely obsessed with Mandy since the beginning and their relationship can be considered toxic and even unhealthy in many ways. However, I was strangely invested in their relationship and felt pain for Bobby when Mandy suddenly cut him out of her life without talking to him. Then again, I also can't blame her for doing that because he intentionally isolated her from her so-called "friends," who turned out to be horrible people, and made her co-dependent on him. Thankfully she realized this and tried to break it off but by then, it was already too late. Bobby was never going to let Mandy go.
"I want you to overwhelm me. I want to get lost in you… I want you to lose yourself in me, too."
As always, Jessa Kane excels when it comes to her over-the-top and dirty talking hero who will go through any lengths to keep his heroine. His possessive, jealous, and stalker-like behavior enables Mandy's own behavior as she begins to realize how much he has changed her. It was quite interesting seeing their relationship go through so many ups and downs. The spice and love scenes were incredibly hot, forbidden, and dirty. Mandy was innocent before she met Bobby but her fateful meeting with him allowed her to explore her own sexuality and inhibitions. The fact that she liked to be praised says a lot, really. Bobby had no qualms giving that to her. In the end, I really enjoyed this quick and smutty romance between two unlikely individuals who become equally obsessed with each other.

Bastard Boss by Lisa Renee Jones

Bastard Boss (Tyler & Bella Duet, #1)We first met Tyler Hawk in Dash Black and Allie Wright's story from the Necklace Trilogy. He was a mysterious figure, ally, and sometimes a friend to the couple. This book takes place after the events of When I Say Yes, and Tyler is dealing with the ramifications of his father's crimes and what happened to the missing Allison. From the very beginning, I had a hard time figuring out Tyler's character and motivations. He was often broody, intense, serious, and there was almost a predator-like nature to him. I never expected him to be paired up with Bella Bailey—Dash Black's sister, but it turns out that they have always been attracted to each other. However, there are big obstacles to their blooming relationship and Tyler must be the one to figure out what and who he truly wants in order to be with Bella.
"I want to drown in everything that is this woman. My hands are all over her, and I want to be buried so deep in her, I'll never find a way out."
Tyler was such a fascinating character and it was refreshing to finally get inside his head. Tyler is haunted by what happened between Allison and Jack Hawk. There were consequences to his actions and he blamed himself for it. Tyler never knew what love was and who can blame him? He grew up in a loveless household with a father who hated him and is still torturing him after his death. It was also a pleasant surprise to find out that there was more to Tyler and Bella's relationship than meets the eye. They just never acted on it until now and what a pair they are. Bella was such a sweet character with a backbone of steel. Despite being more vulnerable with Tyler, she knew her worth and could stand the weight of his words. I loved their intense and forbidden relationship. This entire book felt like a foreplay session between the two and the moment they came together was everything I wanted and more. I can't wait to read more of their story in Sweet Sinner because this book does end with a brutal and heartbreaking cliffhanger.
