Praise Me: President by Jessa Kane

Praise Me: President (Praise Me Daily)Jessa Kane returns with another stellar release featuring a super cute and sexy romance with a splash of politics mixed into it. I found it super funny at times because I wish we had someone young like Pierce McAlister as president. But alas, that isn't reality. In any case, this was definitely a fun read and I had a blast reading it! Pierce and Eloise had incredibly chemistry and the unexpected dirty talk was A+ from me. I liked that they were both so equally obsessed with each other. Eloise thought Pierce hung the moon and was inspired by him to enter politics. As for Pierce, it was lust/love at first sight for him. He struggled to accept his attraction to her at first because of their professional relationship, but ultimately lost the battle against it.

“I’m just a man. Not some god to be served. A real man is man enough to serve his woman. Don’t ever forget that.”

In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed this release and can't wait for Jessa Kane's next book, Praise Me: Princess. It looks like this will be another excellent series to look forward to. This book wasn't as unhinged as we're typically used to from Jessa Kane, but I still loved it nonetheless.

My Stalker, My Protector by Jessa Kane

My Stalker, My ProtectorI refuse to believe this is Jessa Kane's last book. Her writing has always been one of my guilty pleasures so I am absolutely heartbroken to hear this news. My Stalker, My Protector might be one of the most unhinged and scariest books she has ever written but it was also spicy in a psychotic way. I was so perplexed by Cash and Scout's relationship because it was wrong. He was completely obsessed and was stalking her... but then she ended up liking it?! They were crazy for each other. As with most Jessa Kane heroes, Cash was completely OTT, possessive, and deranged over the innocent Scout. He had been sending her death threats and emails to stay away from other men—basically terrorizing her despite the fact that he was her brother's best friend and fell down the insanity rabbit hole lol. It was quite ironic and hilarious to watch him descend further into madness over Scout, especially when she conveniently fell right into his hands.
"I realize Scout owns me. Not only have I been her hidden master all along, but she has been mine."
The moment Scout entered Cash's domain, all bets were off and he took over her world. What came as a shock to me and Cash was that she actually liked his undivided attention and stalker tendencies. But he lied to her about it so she came up with a "revenge" plan to stalk him back. See? They were made for each other. As always, the love scenes were incredibly hot and some kinks were involved. The ending had me speechless but as long as they're happy and alive, that's all that matters right? If you're looking for an entertaining stalker smut featuring a mentally unstable but handsome up-and-coming baseball player star and his seemingly innocent heroine who feels the same way for him, this is the book for you.

Blaste from the Past by Jessa Kane

Blaste from the PastJessa Kane returns with an incredibly romantic and steamy story that transcends time as Blaste and Shiloh are forced to contend with the differences between them as well as the realization that they are soulmates. I loved this short story because it tells the story of two characters from different eras who come to love each other despite of it. Blaste fell for Shiloh the moment he set eyes on her and was quickly overwhelmed by his lust and feelings for this woman. The rising tension between Blaste and Shiloh was my favorite aspect of the book because these two had amazing sexual chemistry with each other. I liked that Blaste was extremely protective and possessive of Shiloh from the start. He knew who he wanted and had no qualms about pursuing her. The dirty talk and love scenes were so amazing—I wanted more.
“But I can’t stop. I can’t, because she’s my love and my lust, all rolled into one. My perfect match. And she’s stripping me of my control so thoroughly.”
In the end, Jessa Kane never disappoints if you're looking for a short and spicy romance full of heart and relatable characters. I loved the time-travel aspect of this book and how the Wanting Tree that was responsible for granting soulmates. It's fantastical but sometimes, we need that in our lives. My heart broke when they were briefly separated but our couple does get a happy and satisfying ending overall. Fans of Jessa Kane will love this book and I highly recommend this story to those who love a good old time-traveling romance with lots of steam between its two main characters. Although it was short, it checked all of my boxes and I was content with the amount we were given. Blaste was rather traditional and knew what he wanted while Shiloh was innocent, stubborn, and loving—they made for a really good match.

When You Know by Jessa Kane

When You KnowJessa Kane returns with another steamy and age-gap romance featuring a morally gray and unhinged hero who will do anything to make himself the center of his woman's world and vice versa. Bobby is completely obsessed with Mandy since the beginning and their relationship can be considered toxic and even unhealthy in many ways. However, I was strangely invested in their relationship and felt pain for Bobby when Mandy suddenly cut him out of her life without talking to him. Then again, I also can't blame her for doing that because he intentionally isolated her from her so-called "friends," who turned out to be horrible people, and made her co-dependent on him. Thankfully she realized this and tried to break it off but by then, it was already too late. Bobby was never going to let Mandy go.
"I want you to overwhelm me. I want to get lost in you… I want you to lose yourself in me, too."
As always, Jessa Kane excels when it comes to her over-the-top and dirty talking hero who will go through any lengths to keep his heroine. His possessive, jealous, and stalker-like behavior enables Mandy's own behavior as she begins to realize how much he has changed her. It was quite interesting seeing their relationship go through so many ups and downs. The spice and love scenes were incredibly hot, forbidden, and dirty. Mandy was innocent before she met Bobby but her fateful meeting with him allowed her to explore her own sexuality and inhibitions. The fact that she liked to be praised says a lot, really. Bobby had no qualms giving that to her. In the end, I really enjoyed this quick and smutty romance between two unlikely individuals who become equally obsessed with each other.
