Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Anna and the French Kiss I fell completely and utterly in love with this book. There are no words to describe how I feel about it besides postive words like wonderful, marvelous, and just beautiful overall. Even the ending made me smile! I love Anna and Etienne's relationship so much because it was so freaken sweet! Etienne literally redefines the word sexy and adorable. I recommend this book to any YA and contemporary romance fans because it's definitely a book that you don't want to miss out on! The cover and title may be quite misleading because of it's simpleness... but there is NOTHING simple about this book. It's story about finding true love, independence, and friendship. What's not to love?

After reading so many positive reviews about this book, I decided to give this one a go and I've been hooked ever since. Anna is a very likable heroine who is often flawed in many ways. Yes, there were many moments when I had to face palm because of some of the "dumb" things that she did. She's not perfect but no one truly is. She's just a girl who's falling in love with a guy who she isn't supposed to fall in love with. I love how she tries her best to not fall in love with him because she knows it's wrong. But unfortunately, when you've fallen too deep in love with someone... it's hard to keep it all in. As for her friends, Mer, Josh, and Rashmi were pretty much awesome and what anyone would want in a group of friends. If it wasn't for them, I don't think Anna would have felt at home in Paris and found where she belonged. But her other friend back home Bridgette... let's just say I don't have a lot of nice things to say about her. To sum it up, she did the most hurtful thing that a best friend could do. Read this book to find out!

And now, let's finally talk about the cute English boy with a French name who claims that he is an American, Etienne St. Clair! Ugh, this guy is such a sweet, adorable, funny, and sexy mess. Not really, he's actually a neat freak like Anna. I think his relationship with Anna made this the most enjoyable book I have read in awhile. It's quite obvious that he's gorgeous and is the most popular boy in school... but alas, he is also another flawed character and I think this aspect is what makes him real. He fell in love with Anna the first time he met her but with a few complications such as his girlfriend, Ellie, it things a lot more complicated. Of course he feels guilty which is why both he and Anna try desperately to be just friends but it doesn't exactly work. They end up falling deeper and harder for each other the more time they spend with one another. But seriously, you'll know why these two make the perfect couple when you read it!

So YES, this book was so good that I had to go out and buy my own copy and read it over and over again. Not to mention that while I was reading this, Colbie Caillat's Falling For You was on! Overall, I give this book a HUGE 5 stars because of how great it was. For Stephanie Perkins first debut, she did an AMAZING job and I can't wait to read her next work!!

Rock Hard by Olivia Cunning

Rock Hard (Sinners on Tour, #2) If you thought that Backstage Pass was hot, Rock Hard totally trumps that and is SMOKIN' hot. Ever since Olivia Cunning's debut, she has been an auto-buy author for me because steamy scenes, angst, and just thoroughly made characters. As a whole, this series is a must read for erotica and even contemporary romance fans with plenty of spice in it. We all thought that Sed Lionheart was a complete douchebag because of his personality but in actuality, there was a reason behind it and in this installment, we get to find out who and why it is. I definitely can't wait to read the next character's book in the series, but I would really love it to be Trey! Although either Eric or Jace is fine with me. A BIG 5 stars for this one.

As I've said before, the romance between Sed and Jessica was pretty 'delicious.' I think I have a thing for heartbroken heroes and their misconceptions. There was a lot of ups and downs in their relationship and at one point, I wanted to shake Jessica and ask why she is doing this. We first find out the reason why Sed and Jessica's relationship did not work out in the prologue because of a pretty huge misunderstanding. And I guess after they broke up... things haven't been the same ever since. My heart broke for Sed because throughout those two years that they have been separated, he has always loved Jessica because he still keeps her engagement ring and picture with him at all times. After two years, these two finally meet again during Brian's bachelor party because his wedding with Myrna is in a couple of days! Remember Backstage Pass? But yeah, it wasn't a pretty sight because Jessica was working as an 'exotic dancer' at the club since she needed some money for law school. I don't want to get in-depth but she has a few problems of her own ever since she and Sed broke up.

Things start heating up when Myrna assigns Jessica as her assistant which means that Jessica will be living in the tour bus with Sed and the rest of the band. What do you think will become of this? Of course there will be some steamy love scenes. Jessica becomes jealous of the 'groupies' that Sed brings in and everything starts right there, again. Anyway, the ending was rather sweet and sexy so I am quite satisfied with it. But yeah, I'm really looking forward to Trey's story because of what he went through in this book! His secret love for Brian is still heartbreaking... but what can he do? Brian is married to Myrna now and when they were talking about having children, Trey's face turns into horror. I really hope he will be able to find his HEA and I will trust Olivia Cunning in that aspect.

The Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

The Goddess Test (Goddess Test, #1) I believed I choked myself on water when I got to the end of this book. Holy cow! What an unbelievable book The Goddess Test was by debut author, Aimee Carter. I simply fell in love with all of the characters (except the culprit behind the killings, tsk. Such a twist). I especially love Kate and Henry because their love story was just so sweet, cheesy, but heart-breaking. Unrequited love is the most painful of all, don't you think? I still sense that there is more to Henry than meets the eye because hello, he is Hades the God of the Underworld! But his character is just so... lonely. I don't believe that he has ever been truly loved before and it makes his character all the more sad. Thankfully, Kate comes to the rescue because she actually falls in love with him day by day. It was beautifully written-- adding in all the twists and relevations at the end of the book. I'm definitely looking forward to more from Aimee Carter and thank you Netgallery and Harlequin for granting me to read and review this wonderful book!

I admit that I've been spazzing over this book when I first read the summary and saw the beautiful cover. Including myself, I have always been interested in Greek Mythology and to be honest, this one turned out very well! I loved how history made Hades the bad guy... but in The Goddess Test, we see a side of him that was never brought up before. The ending was truly a twist and I obviously have a thing for twists-- even if it does make me choke on air. I really did enjoy every step that Kate took in order to pass the test. She didn't just do it for her mom but she also did it for Henry. I loved how she never once thought for herself and that's exactly what makes her character so intriguing. Although there were moments when I wanted to bang my head against a wall because as much as I love Kate and Henry, things got kind of awkward in the beginning.

To sum it up, any lover of Greek Mythology, paranormal romance, and you adult readers would eat this book right up! It's just that good and I'm looking forward to purchasing this when it releases April 19th. A solid 5 stars from me!

Everyone Loves A Hero by Marie Force

Everyone Loves a Hero There is something about this book that catches my heart in the right way. I absolutely loved the hero in this book because even though he may seem like a 'player,' he quickly changes his act when he meets Olivia! Usually, I'm not a fan of love at first sight... but I was definitely okay with this one because it was such a sweet story! I've read a book from Marie Force before and was also very heartwarming. I would recommend this book to any person who enjoys contemporaries with plenty of steam.

Olivia happens to be an incredible artist but instead of pursuing her dream, she decides to take business classes instead. Another thing I liked about it book was that it also teaches you to go for your dreams. Her meeting with Cole was rather unique because instead of going the typical route, he tries to "save" her from an unruly customer and ends up being knocked out with a concussion for two weeks! Hilarious. They end up having little meetings in the airport and it was rather sweet to see their love for one another grow. An interesting aspect that I don't often see in romance novels is that these two characters are undergoing what they call a long distance relationship. Rather heartbreaking because they don't get to see each other often because one, he's always busy and two, she still has school.

Cole is probably the most sweetest and sexiest guy that I've ever read about. Okay, maybe not but you get the point. He does everything to make Olivia happy and there was one part where I just wanted to bitch slap her for her mistrust towards him. When I guy tells you he loves you, DO NOT DOUBT! Throughout the entire book, she kept on thinking that their relationship was going to break at any time because how can a guy as great Cole love her? Yes, lots of doubt and mistrust. I don't want to get into much detail... but towards the end, her doubt and mistrust for Cole almost breaks their relationship. Thankfully, everything worked out in the end! Anyway, I do have to admit that I teared up at some parts because guys like Cole can break a readers' heart. There was plenty of sexy steam in this book so I was quite surprised. So to sum it up, loved it and I wouldn't mind reading it again. 4 stars from me!
