California Dreamin' by Saffron A. Kent

California Dreamin'
California Dreamin' by Saffron A. Kent is essentially an extension of Simon and Willow's book in Medicine Man but the story focuses on their daughter, Fallon Blackwood and the young boy Simon met in his book named Dean Collins. I never expected this couple and was pleasantly surprised by it. This didn't feel like a "full" book but more like a novella instead. I liked Fallon and Dean but I wanted to know more about them. What was Dean's backstory? Why did Fallon love Dean so much? It's been so long that I could not remember what happened to him. All I know is that Dean met Simon at a cemetery. It also felt vey insta-lovey, which was fine but since Dean and Fallon knew each other from when they were young, I thought there would be more to their story.

On the other hand, I really loved seeing Simon and Willow again. They really haven't changed at all and the story takes place 20 years later. I miss them so much. Violet and Gray are still the same too. What has intrigued me though is blossoming romance between Simon/Willow's son and Violet/Gray's daughter, Brendan and Rosie. Now that.. is really interesting! They're also really cute and sweet too. I would love to read their story down the road! Overall, I enjoyed this book! Saffron A. Kent really has a way with writing scenes that are sexy, angsty, and emotional. I am a HUGE fan of hers!
