Millions by Pepper Winters

Millions (Dollar, #5) There are no words to describe how I feel about Pim and Elder's story coming to a close. I feel so sad but also really happy at the same time. Pepper Winters did an amazing job tying up all the loose ends for this series. Elder will finally confront his past and enemy and Pim will complete her healing process.

It honestly feels like forever since I read the first book to this series, Dollars. Both Pimlico/Tasmin and Elder have grown so much since then, especially in Millions. This book is essentially about ending everything and it's probably the most action-packed and emotional book Pepper has written yet. I loved it so much. Seeing Q and Tess from the Monster in the Dark series? He might actually be my favorite appearance yet. Sorry Jethro, but Q wins the round on this one!

Millions immediately picks off right after the shocking events of the last book, Thousands. So yes, you actually do need to read previous books in this series to understand what's going on here. Elder is broken beyond repair, both physically and emotionally. He's desperately searching for the men who took Pim but he has to fight his own body's limitations, guilt, and demons along the way. As for Pim, she's slowly growing more confident in herself and her feelings toward Elder. I don't want to spoiler anything, but let's just say about half of the book's setting takes place in France. Heh. I wonder who lives there...

This is the final book in the Dollars series and it feels so bittersweet. The journey to the final chapter has been a long one and both our hero and heroine deserve the most happiest of endings. While I do admit some secondary characters did steal the spotlight for a moment, this book absolutely still finds room for Elder and Pim. This is their story and the way it ended... I will never forget it.
