Hundreds by Pepper Winters

Hundreds (Dollar, #3)I would like to thank Pepper Winters and her team for generously providing me with an ARC ♡ This review may contain spoilers.

I don't even know where to begin because Hundreds broke me from start to finish. Part of me loved it so much because of Pimlico's growth and development but the other part... I hated it because it left me wanting more. Pimlico is my favorite heroine from Pepper Winters thus far. Not only is she sweet, shy, and innocent but Pim is so strong, resilient, and courageous in the face of heartbreak. I knew, right from the beginning, that this book was going to end with me in tears. The angst, the drama, the sexual tension, and yes, even the love between Elder and Pim-- it was all there. I promise you will feel for these characters and come to care for them very deeply.
"He'd rescued me. He'd awakened me... He was my happily ever after."
Pimlico, but otherwise known as Pim/Tasmin, has undergone fantastic character development throughout the series. She has grown from that broken and silent young woman to someone who can talk and express her feelings and desires to the man she loves. I'm not entirely sure if Elder deserves her love yet, especially because of his past and what he subsequently did in this book, but I'm with Pim/Tasmin all the way. Whatever your heart takes you, girlie, I'm with you.
"Now that I've felt you, I need you so goddamn much my joints hurt because of it. My heart hurts. My body hurts. Everything fucking hurts."
Oh, Elder. There are so many things I'd like to say to you. Talk about tragic hero though because Elder Prest has got to be the most complicated one yet. There are so many layers and secrets to him. His obsession with things in three and lonely life of solitude is heartbreakingly sad. Not to mention not being able to experience love from his own family? Damn it. And his love for Pim... never have I been more sad and frustrated over a hero. You want angst? CHECK. I honestly don't know how they can possibly be together now.
"Everyone had trials. Everyone endured pain. My past had been shitty. But Elder, he lived in a reoccurring nightmare. And no one had the cure. Not me. Not him. Not even fate."
Please, Pepper. For the love of all that is holy, give us a happy ending for these two! The fact that they're in love but current circumstances and their past are getting in the way of their happy ever after... Freaking tragic. I just know, from the bottom of my heart, that these two will find happiness in each other.
