"There's just something about him that makes me want to tell him everything. He draws me to him. Even his secrets call to me. I want to know him."Landry is the type of heroine I adore because of her caring and soft nature, especially towards her younger sister Della, but she also has a core of steel when dealing with monsters. Behind that ice princess persona is a young woman who is simply trying to survive her cruel and tyrannical father. Unfortunately, she may have left one cage for another with the triplets after her. Over the course of the book, Landry develops close but different relationships with each other Mannford brothers. My favorite would have to be between Sully and Sparrow. Della and Sully's relationship was adorable and funny, which soften Landry's heart. Landry and Sparrow's relationship was teasing and playful. Scout, on the other hand, was dark and erotic. The twist in all of this was that the triplets were all pretending to be one person.
"This thing between us is inevitable. It was the second I laid eyes on you."In the end, I truly enjoyed this "redemption or is it?" story that K. Webster has written for the Terror Triplets. I completely forgot that they were loosely related to the Morelli's and to find out that Bryant was controlling them from behind the scenes was rather interesting. Since this book takes place in the Midnight Dynasty, a lot has happened since Winston and Ash got together—especially between the Constantine's and Morelli's. I'm sure that Bryant won't be able to fully control the Terror Triplets for long because his power, though he has some, is dwindling. The book does end with a cliffhanger that certainly left me wanting more and I look forward to reading the next one. Unfortunately, no standalone book here. Fans of K. Webster and the Midnight Dynasty saga will absolutely love this book and be surprised by it. I commend the author for making "male lead material" out of these three. I highly recommend reading Skyscraper Cinderella for further context and additional background regarding the Terror Triplets because they were different back then.
